Traditionally, copitas are used to sip mezcal and tequilas and are usually made from porous terracotta. They would be submerged in water first, so the clay would soak up water rather than the drinker's tequila.
In a post covid world, these copitas are glazed and food safe (even dishwasher safe) but still rough textured to pay homage to thier rustic design. If you're thinking of gifts for a die hard agave fan, (or for your next tequila night) look no further.
